INTERNAL RULES OF TALLINN CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

(applicable at Tervise 28 and Ravi 27)

1. It is obligatory to follow the internal rules of the hospital while staying in the hospital and on the hospital territory.

2. A parent/caregiver is obliged to give the health care provider necessary assistance in the treatment process, pay for the costs of the health care according to the respective prior notice, follow the orders and directions of the hospital staff and accept the consequences of refusing treatment.

3. It is strictly prohibited to smoke or consume alcohol or narcotics in the rooms and territory of the hospital or be there under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

4. Unauthorised photography, filming and recording of conversations and holding such materials (images, video and audio recordings) / forwarding the materials to third persons in any format or environment, including on the Internet, is prohibited. Photography and filming are only permitted with the permission of the Head of Communications of Tallinn Children’s Hospital.

5. The hospital is not liable for items/clothes lost or left in the hospital.

6. The polyclinic at Tervise 28 (Mustamäe) is open Mon–Fri from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The polyclinic at Ravi 27 (city centre) is open Mon–Thu from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Fri from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Specialist doctor appointments can be made by phone or in the Patient Portal. Referral by a family doctor / specialist doctor is required, except for dentist, eye doctor and dermatologist.

7. Visiting hours of the inpatient departments of Tallinn Children’s Hospital at Tervise 28 (coatroom is closed at 8:00 p.m.):
     7.1. on working days between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and on weekends between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.; in the intensive care unit, every day upon prior agreement with the doctor;
    7.2 the size of the hospital rooms allows a maximum of two visitors per patient at the same time;
    7.3 only visit children when you are healthy;
    7.4 if necessary, the hospital/departments have the right to establish special visiting conditions and apply visiting restrictions.

8. When visiting the hospital, outerwear must be left in the coatroom.

9. The attending physician / doctor on call will provide information regarding the child’s heath. A doctor will visit the patient during the working day.

10. General schedule in inpatient department: 7:00 a.m. wake-up; 9:00 p.m. sleep time.
The general daily routine of a department is available at the department’s information board.

11. Hospitalized patients are provided dinner on the arrival day (if they arrive before 2:00 p.m.) and breakfast and lunch on the day of leaving the hospital.

12. A parent/caregiver whose in-patient fee is covered by health insurance will have to pay a daily in-patient fee of €2.50 in accordance with the law for up to 10 calendar days.

13. A parent/caregiver whose in-patient fee is not covered by health insurance will be charged a daily in-patient fee according to the paid services price list of Tallinn Children’s Hospital. The first in-patient fee must be paid in advance upon admission of the patient to the hospital.

14. Patients and visitors have the right to make proposals for the Assessment Committee of Tallinn Children’s Hospital either on paper (forms are available at the hospital secretary and in departments) or via the website.
